After student teaching, I spent a couple months as an EL Paraprofessional at Red River High School. I worked exclusively with students who had come to Grand Forks from Somalia and Nepal. I was able to work with students to teach them skills to be successful both inside and outside the classroom.
Diversity Practicum - Fall 2017
I had the opportunity to spend a full semester with Ms. Wahl at Bismarck High School where I had the opportunity to work with students who were multicultural, low socioeconomic status (SES), and English Learners (EL). These experiences were invaluable in teaching me how to embrace the different dynamics that a highly diverse classroom has to offer.
Substitute Teaching - Fall 2017 - Present
In my substitute teaching experience, I have encountered students from multicultural backgrounds, low SES, rural areas, and learning disabilities. I have also had the opportunity to work with a paraprofessional that assisted a student full-time who had an Emotional Disturbance (ED).

Assistant Junior High Basketball Coach - Winter 2019-2020
I spent a full season as an assistant coach to the 7th grade boys' basketball team. Here I worked with athletes from low SES, tough home-lives, and multiple cultures.

I spent two full seasons as a varsity assistant in Washburn, ND, where I was able to work with athletes from rural areas, low SES backgrounds, and multiple cultures.

I spent two full seasons as a varsity assistant at Century High School in Bismarck, ND, where we had athletes who were low SES, multicultural, and came from rural areas.
